Pam has been in the marketing industry for nearly 25 years. She leads Momentum Marketing with expertise in database marketing, public relations, multi-media creative production, media negotiations, branding, web development, and social media marketing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Purdue University. Pam, a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming who has 21 advertising awards to her name, founded Momentum in 2005, and has since grown the business to support clients all over the United States. She is the co-founder of The Charleston Basket Brigade, a local non-profit that raises funds to feed Thanksgiving dinners to local families in need. With a passion for outreach, Pam has also served as the Chairperson of the Global Tony Robbins Graduate Community, as the Professional Development Steering Committee Chair for the East Cooper Entrepreneurial Women non-profit organization, as a member of the Advisory Board for The Lowcountry Business Network, and as a mentor in College of Charleston’s MBA program.
Megan has spent the past five years of her career in an editorial position at Charleston Home + Design magazine, where she gained valuable hands-on experience in not just writing and editing, but also marketing, event planning, social media management, website content development and public relations. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Charleston Southern University and her Master of Arts in English from College of Charleston. In addition, she has contributed to several other South Carolina publications on a freelance basis, has consulted on English curriculum projects, and currently teaches freshman English at Charleston Southern University each fall and spring.
Melissa grew up locally on Johns Island and has been designing for over a decade. She leads our design department with extensive experience in brand development, price & promotion layout and multi-media design in several business categories.
On a weekend, you can find her painting Lowcountry landscapes, off-shore fishing, baking, and enjoying time outside.
Although he was born and raised in Charlotte, Lawrence’s family has deep roots in the Lowcountry—his family has been part of the Charleston community for over 100 years. His marketing experience is vast, including years of work with Fox and NBC before launching his own firm in Chicago. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Business from The University of Georgia. Feeling a draw to Charleston and his Southern roots, he moved to the Holy City in 2010 and joined the Momentum Marketing team.
Brittany Henderson is an Account Coordinator at Momentum Marketing, providing support to our automotive clients. She grew up in Georgia and attended Georgia College, where she majored in mass communications with emphases in public relations and marketing. Before she found her way to Charleston and Momentum, she worked as the Marketing and Event Coordinator at Lexus of South Atlanta and in digital media sales for Cars.com. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Ryan, and her German Shorthaired Pointer, Finley, as they explore the Lowcountry together. You can find them playing on Folly Beach, sampling new hops at local craft breweries, or catching a movie (Brittany’s favorite is The Goonies.
Charlotte brings a diverse set of skills to Momentum Marketing with expertise in finance, technology, and healthcare. She moved to Charleston—specifically Isle of Palms—after completing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication and Media Studies at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and working in that area for several years. In our office, Charlotte works on our food and beverage accounts and handles all of Momentum’s billing. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and experiencing all the Lowcountry has to offer.
A true innovator at heart, Alex is passionate about applying the latest technology trends to the development of new business for our clients. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from Elon University and later a Master of Arts degree in Interactive Media also from Elon University. Alex leads the digital marketing department at Momentum, managing campaigns for all of our clients. He has a master’s degree from Elon University in interactive media, and in addition to a digital marketing background, he has experience in national marketing, broadcast television, and print newspaper. On a day off, you can find Alex at the beach or immersed in the downtown food-and-beverage scene with his wife, Emily.
Jamie Markey is a graduate of Salisbury University in Maryland and made her way to the Charleston area in 2015 to enjoy the Lowcountry weather, Southern hospitality, and beautiful beaches. While attending Salisbury, Jamie was able to juggle swimming for her school’s swim team along with working hard for her Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design. Bringing so much to the table with her 12-plus years of experience in advertising agencies, Jamie’s past career consists of print production and digital channels, including but not limited to emails, banner ads, landing pages, website design, and iPad apps. Adjusting swimmingly to the Charleston lifestyle, Jamie enjoys exploring nearby cities in South Carolina, participating in marathons around the country, and listening to live music with her husband.
Gillian has been a member of the Momentum Marketing team for nearly five years. After earning her bachelor’s degree in economics from Clemson, she left the rolling hills of the Upstate to pursue her MBA at College of Charleston. At our office, Gillian handles the Cooper River Bridge Run account and keeps everyone on track by managing all of the agency’s processes. She also serves on the board of the Asheville Half Marathon. Gillian can often be found sampling the smattering of new restaurants downtown, traveling near and far to see a great band, or running on the beach with her puppies, Lulu and Cricket.
Hailing from North Augusta, South Carolina, Julia has spent many years working in social media and media relations for the hospitality and tourism industries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina, and she has been able to use the knowledge gleaned during school to expertly promote our clients on social platforms. She is the social media queen at Momentum, managing our clients’ accounts around the clock.
A Mount Pleasant native, Maria left the Lowcountry to attend Clemson University. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Communications, she returned home to pursue her MBA (with a marketing emphasis) at College of Charleston. In her time at Momentum, Maria has become an automotive expert, leading our many dealerships in their marketing efforts. In her spare time, Maria enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family. Additionally, Maria serves on the event-planning committee for the Gavalas Kolanko Foundation and the Race Committee for the James Island Connector Run.
Originally from South Florida, Patti moved to Charleston in 1997 after attending Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. She has worked in marketing and sales roles for WCIV-ABC News 4, Clear Channel Radio, House of Blues Myrtle Beach, Kickin’ Chicken, and Advantage Media Group. Volunteering and lending her marketing expertise to local non-profits is a commitment that Patti takes seriously. She serves on the board of MUSC’s Scleroderma Research Foundation and enjoys her time spent with the group at Camp Happy Days.
Momentum’s resident fashionista, McKenzie has an extensive background in fashion brand marketing, public relations, and social media management. While earning her bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Merchandising, and Marketing at Appalachian State University, she worked in both retail sales and trade-show buying for leading fashion brands, such as Ralph Lauren and A’reve Clothing. McKenzie completed internships at Rent the Runway and CeCe Feinberg PR, based in Miami. Once she arrived in Charleston, she began her career as a marketing director for a local lingerie retailer and has since been recognized as a fashion and marketing expert by her peers, serving as the Fashion Scene Editor for StylePublic.com. She has been featured in Charleston Magazine, Charleston Style & Design, Skirt! Magazine, GearPatrol.com, and on ABC’s Lowcountry Live.
Hailing from Charlotte, NC, Spencer Willis, is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and has dreamed of working and living in Charleston ever since he was a child. At USC, Spencer earned a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies with a minor in Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising and Public Relations. In his career so far, he has managed many digital campaigns and has developed a keen ability to identify target audiences and determine the best methods of presenting information to the audience through display advertising. Starting at WCSC-TV, Spencer gained two years of digital media advertising experience in the Charleston market. Now, he continues his salt life dream by joining the Momentum team as our Digital Marketing Coordinator. Residing in Downtown Charleston, Spencer enjoys traveling, concerts, playing spikeball on the beach, and trying new restaurants.
Kayla Duclos was born and raised in the Charleston area. As a Marketing assistant, Kayla helps each and every department in its day-to-day functions. From blog writing and social media to market research and brand management, Kayla brings an extra set of hands on deck to make the projects of the Momentum team flow more quickly and seamlessly. In her free time, you’ll find Kayla taking care of her animals (a dog and two ferrets), escaping to the mountains for a weekend getaway, kayaking, or spending time with her family.
George is a newcomer to the Lowcountry, but he brings with him extensive experience in media relations. He has provided strategic counsel and executed public relations campaigns for major clients in a wide range of business sectors. He began his PR career after 15 years as a local TV broadcaster in Virginia and Maryland. George has a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Towson University. He and his wife are already taking full advantage of the sun, social life and great food in the Charleston area.
Brittany brings over five years of experience in corporate events, working with brands such as Bugatti, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Christian Dior, and Dolce & Gabbana in California. After returning to Charleston, Brittany worked diligently to market and grow tech startup Unbooked. She studied at College of Charleston and graduated (with honors) with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and marketing. She’s a coffee lover at heart and a true foodie. On the weekends, you can find her outside exploring Charleston or curating her home with styled interior designs.
John Lee serves our creative and digital departments as our Digital Content Producer, developing interesting and eye-catching visual elements for our clients’ websites, digital ads, and social media platforms. As a graphic designer, he has over seven years of experience, some of which were earned right here in the creative offices of Momentum Marketing. He’s also an experienced photographer and videographer. Even on the weekends, John Lee loves to work on projects for clients and edit photos and videos to perfection. When he’s not working, you can find him on his longboard—earbuds in and iPhone on Airplane Mode.
Leighanne went to College of Charleston and graduated in Spring 2015 with a degree in communications. After school, she worked in event design and then took a position at a local news station. There, she worked in the digital sales department, providing support for all digital campaigns and consulting on best tactics and practices to ensure campaign fulfillment. She is the master coordinator for our many automotive accounts here at Momentum. In her free time, you’ll find her at the beach with a book and her pup, Charlee, or on the town with friends.
Gabby Fabbri is a recent graduate of College of Charleston, where she earned her degree in communication and business administration. Her specialties include social media marketing and public relations. While in school, Gabby interned at two different marketing agencies. She was also part of the first Charleston Food + Wine Festival Cohortship, working with the event directors to develop a new social media campaign. In her free time, you can find Gabby at Folly Beach or on Sullivan’s Island. She also enjoys exploring the peninsula, shopping on King Street, strolling the Battery with her pup, and finding new local events to attend with friends.
Jenni is Momentum Marketing’s publicist, who diligently seeks to create connections between our amazing clients and the communities in which they thrive. Jenni attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her bachelor’s degree in English and fine arts (with an emphasis in photography). Since then, she has gained experience in publishing, writing, editing, marketing, and publicity. According to Jenni, she loves working in marketing and public relations because “it’s super gratifying to know you’re helping a client’s hard work truly pay off.” On the weekends, Jenni loves to work out and run, and she spends as much time as possible reading or playing with her dog, Buffett.
