Momentum Founder Pam Hartley Appears On WCIV TV’s Lowcountry Live to Speak about 4th Annual Charleston Basket Brigade

Lowcountry Live host Dave Williams interviews Pam Hartley about the Charleston Basket Brigade

Charleston locals: did you catch Momentum Founder and Charleston Basket Brigade co-founder Pam Hartley on Lowcountry Live this morning? Pam went on to talk about the CBB as the charity approaches this year’s goal of $75,000 to feed 2,500 families  in the Charleston Tri-county area for Thanksgiving (that’s next week!)

This year, Momentum has partnered with Carolina One Real Estate, Piggly Wiggly and Communities InSchools to help raise funds for the CBB event next Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Charleston Area Convention Center, Exhibit Hall C beginning at 7 a.m. (We’re counting down the final days!) The CBB is accepting monetary donations and volunteers to assemble the boxes of food and deliver them to the receiving families. Over the past three years, the CBB has raised a total of $63,990, feeding over 12,000 residents. This year marks the highest goal the CBB has ever set, and we need your help to achieve that goal! Pam says, “We’ve been so blown away by the fundraising efforts of this community, whether it is a group of kids having a bake sale or work colleagues throwing pocket change together. When you provide a family with food, a necessity that we often take for granted, it creates a moving experience for everyone involved.”

Each assembled meal only costs $30. To feed a family, visit charlestonbasketbrigade.com. Questions? We’re happy to answer them! Give us a call at 843-377-8450.
