Momentum Reaches 17,000 "Facebook Likes" Milestone for The Cooper River Bridge Run

The Momentum team is elated to announce that over the weekend we reached the 17,000 “Facebook likes” milestone for the Cooper River Bridge Run, the 3rd largest 10K in the nation, entirely through organic efforts.

CRBR 17,000 fans“The CRBR Facebook page is alive with enthusiastic fans with a passion for running, community events  and inspirational news,” said Momentum agency principal Pam Hartley. “We have the pleasure to engage in such wonderful social conversations on behalf of the popular event.”

In January, 2013, we created a Facebook Thank-A-Thon campaign which highlighted the 15 Bridge Run charities and asked each nonprofit to post on the Bridge Run’s behalf.  The monthlong effort drew thousands of new likes to the page.  During the April event, Momentum provided minute by minute coverage of key sponsor events, the expo and all race activities, with the page reaching in excess of 300,000 daily.

Our social team continues to update race fans with key events and upcoming deadlines.

Momentum PR Director Emily Trogdon added, “The Bridge Run supports so many community events and spreads the word about other area races on a regular basis. We are never at a loss for content. It’s such a fun account to work on daily.”
