Momentum was invited to be a part of more than 40 friends of the Cooper River Bridge Run that gathered last night at Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park to choose the winning design to adorn t-shirts, posters and merchandise for the 37th Cooper River Bridge Run annual race scheduled for April 5th, 2014.

Momentum is responsible for social media, press, online and design work for the popular race touted as the 3rd largest 10K in the nation… so we couldn’t resist participating when we were asked! Our talented design team including art director Carlton Swift and designer Melissa Caloca, along with agency principal Pam Hartley, were part of the judging process and unanimously said the winning design “is a great one”.

For the first time in Bridge Run history, the community was invited to cast votes online during a limited time period yesterday, with the people’s choice votes accounting for 25% of the overall judging.  Momentum announced the link was live midday yesterday through a CRBR email blast, Facebook posts and a press statement.

Julian Smith, CRBR Executive Director said, “This year, we were so thrilled to include the community in the judging process. We were overwhelmed with the response. We thank everyone for taking the time to participate in the design contest and for casting your votes. The winning design sets the tone for the race each year and this year’s winner is exceptional and very original.”

The winning design will be officially announced on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at a special unveiling ceremony and of course, Momentum will be there!
