Cooper River Bridge Run Design Contest 2017
Have a great idea for the 2017 Cooper River Bridge Run t-shirts and promotional posters? Submit your design in CRBR’s contest today! The July 15th, 2016 deadline is approaching quickly.
Here are the details:
All media is acceptable; the winning design will be reproduced and printed by 4-color process. The overall size should not exceed 30 x 30 inches (at least 20 x 30 inches is suggested), and it should be mounted on a foam core. A vertical orientation (where the overall width is smaller than the overall height) is recommended—keep in mind the proportions of a t-shirt.
CRBR recommends that the artist/designer include the following text within or around the image area:
Cooper River Bridge Run 10K // April 1, 2017 // Charleston, SC // 40th Anniversary
If this text is not included, the Bridge Run will collaborate with the winner to decide on text placement.
Drop-off Schedule: Drop-off Monday through Friday, 10 AM- 5 PM until July 15, 2016 at the CRBR Store, or ship to CRBR at 716 South Shelmore Blvd. #105, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
Judging: The jury will meet in late July. A display of all work, awards, and a reception for all the artists will be held in August. The winning artist will be contacted by telephone by August 1st, and all others will be invited to the unveiling party (exact date to be announced).
Awards: The jury will be looking for one dynamic image to represent the Bridge Run as both a poster and a t-shirt. The winner will receive $1,000, significant recognition, 100 posters, and 24 t-shirts. The jury reserves the right to pick a separate poster and t-shirt winner, with each receiving $500, and the CRBR reserves the right to reject the selected image if it is deemed to be inappropriate or of insufficient quality to represent the event (such a decision by the CRBR would be extremely unlikely).
Please note that all entries become the property of the Cooper River Bridge Run, and if not chosen as the winning entry, artwork will be auctioned off to benefit the Bridge Run Charity Connection charities. The winning entry will be framed and will hang in the Cooper River Bridge Run office. By entering the contest, you certify that this is your original work and you give permission for this work to be reproduced for purposes of publicizing the Bridge Run and/or the design competition.
