Menswear Designer Alexander Julian to Make Appearance at Gwynn’s

Award-winning menswear designer Alexander Julian and son are coming to do a very special in-store appearance at Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 during regular store hours (10:00 am – 7:00 pm). This personal appearance is the first in an exclusive series of the relaunch of the Alexander Julian label with his youngest son, Huston. Be among the first in the nation to see and pre-order the Alexander Julian Fall 2016 line while mingling with the designers themselves.

The iconic 80’s menswear label was discontinued over a decade ago so Julian could focus on his Private Reserve collection and his furniture designs.

The pair have already received acclaim at all of the Fall ’16 markets for the fresh vibrant look they have crafted for Julian’s signature textiles and designs. The line is on the forefront of fabric technology with their innovative and exclusive Cotton | Tweed™ which emphasizes the sport in sportcoat by balancing timelessness with comfort.

The breakthrough idea was to create a jacket fabric that understands the South and its climate needs. Julian, a Southerner, perfected double sided digital printed cotton stretch. Truly trompe l’oeil, they look so much like classic Scottish tweed you could fool a moth, but are actually light weight cotton!
