Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant Begins Expansion

Momentum client, Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant, is currently undergoing an expansion at its 916 Houston Northcutt location in Mount Pleasant, SC. More than 2,000 square feet of dressing room and luxury lounge space will be added to the store, increasing its overall size by approximately 10%. Construction began on Monday, January 4, 2016 and is expected to be completed by the end of April 2016. The store will remain open while the renovation is underway.

Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant has been the Lowcountry’s premier luxury retailer since 1967 and has served clientele at the current Mount Pleasant location since April 30, 1992. This is the first time the store has undergone this level of expansion.

Gwynn’s of Mount Pleasant Proprietor, Marshall Simon, said, “This expansion will allow us to serve our growing clientele with next level personalized, concierge service. We’ve put a great deal of thought into every luxurious detail and we can’t wait to debut this exclusive benefit to shopping at Gwynn’s.”

Modifications include extending the front of the store by an additional 2,000 sq. feet to accommodate two ‘Gwynn’s Grand Lounges’. These new men’s and women’s lounges will consist of two dressing rooms in each lounge (two for women and two for men) appointed with Italian ceramic tile, crystal adorned walls, velvet seating, modern chandeliers, and more. The interior of the store will also be painted and a new main entrance will be established as a result of the renovation. The exterior wall cladding will also be updated to a modern travertine tile.
