Despite the brief power outage at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome last evening, Mercedes-Benz itself came out a clear winner of the Super Bowl.

The Superdome sparkled Sunday night. A huge Mercedes-Benz emblem hung from the center of the playing field. Full-size glamorous images of Mercedes-Benz vehicles filled the stadium, from a whole wall devoted to the new CLA, to even an image on the escalator wall.

From January 2011 to June 2011, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome completed an $85 million renovation that completely modernized the facility. Since 2006, the total amount spent on renovations is $336 million. And the dome has been transformed by the auto brand.

All in all, there is no other sports arena in the nation that represents its auto manufacturer namesake so expertly.

“This was the tightest, coolest brand experience I’ve ever seen,” says Pam Hartley, principal of Momentum Marketing. “Mercedes-Benz was everywhere, but in such beautiful ways. There were so many gorgeous images of vehicles.”
