Instagram Ads Are Coming Soon! Is Your Business Ready?

Last week, reports surfaced that popular social website, Instagram, would be rolling out ads next year. We began to think about all the ways that businesses and could benefit from the addition of advertisements on Instagram.

Instagram Director of Business, Emily White told the Wall Street Journal that it will begin selling ads within the next year. White came to Instagram from Facebook as a way to transition the previously ad-less website into a way to create revenue for the company.

Brands will be able to promote photos through the “discover” tab or through hashtags. The use of this will be most beneficial to clients who are already interactive on Instagram and have visually appealing products. Product pictures could also be linked directly to a company or e-commerce website to boost sales.

With 150 million active users, brands would definitely see high impressions through advertisements. It will be very exciting to see how this new feature will increase businesses’ brand awareness!
