Would You Stay in a “Twitter Experience” Hotel?

We’d like to say that we eat, breathe, and sleep social media here at Momentum, but there is a hotel in Spain that is taking that expression to a whole new level.

The Sol Wave House Hotel, located in the beach of Magaluf  has just become the first ever “Tweet Experience Hotel” in the world.

The idea is that guests can tweet exclusively from the hotel’s Wifi using the hashtag #SocialWave to tweet requests, reviews, compete in online contests and share photos. One of the most appealing features using the promoted hashtag is that two concierge employees are devoted to monitoring the #SocialWave feed and respond to guest inquiries and room service and other services.

The concierge encourages the clients to connect with other guests for on-property amenities such as lounging by the pool together or hanging out in the Party Suites. Guests who partake in the #SocialWave experience are also offered discounts and specials such as free drinks or 20% off at bars and restaurants.

This idea may seem a little eccentric but twitter and social media is the “wave” of the future and we’d love to stay at a hotel such as this!
