Farewell To Sweet Harper Drolet

Harper poses for us on her beloved bike during our visit December 2010

All of us at Momentum Marketing are deeply saddened by the passing of the most courageous, selfless child we’ve ever met – Harper Drolet.  After a long battle with cancer, the eleven year-old left this world on Friday, September 30th. Last year, we had the pleasure of working alongside little Harper during our Wonder Works “Facebook FunRaiser,” an effort that Harper championed to raise toys for MUSC Children’s Hospital’s Happy Wheels program. Momentum founder Pam Hartley and her son Jacob visited Harper and last December to film a video for the Facebook FunRaiser and ended up spending several hours with Harper and her family. “She was an amazing child, one-of-a-kind,” said Hartley. “The minute we walked in the door, she ran to the table and began drawing a picture of she and I holding hands and presented it me with a big smile. She was so precious and so brave. Our friends at Wonder Works truly loved this little girl and she often came up in everyday conversations as a true inspiration.” Referred to as the “Mayor” of MUSC, Harper spent her time in the hospital cheering on fellow pediatric patients.  She will be greatly missed by the entire Charleston community and beyond.  It’s amazing how a little girl could serve as such a source of inspiration.  She was an angel on earth and now officially has her wings.
