Momentum Attends Annual Sophia Institute Fundraising Luncheon Featuring Author/CEO/Undersecretary of State Charlotte Beers

(L-R) Wonder Works Owner Christine Osborne, Charlotte Beers and Pam Hartley

Momentum had such a wonderful time today at The Sophia Institute Annual Fundraising Luncheon! 300 people came out to the Francis Marion to support this incredible organization, and Momentum Founder Pam Hartley hosted a table with nine associates and friends.

It was absolutely amazing to meet key speaker Charlotte Beers, whose accomplishments and past positions include Chairman/CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy & Public Affairs, and now author of her new book, I’d Rather Be in Charge. Her message and thoughts on leadership were truly inspiring, and as marketers, we loved her point that the quality of your communication is based on the recipient. For example, it doesn’t matter how you mean something to come across to someone; the only thing that matters is how someone receives that message. It’s all about the quality of your communication.

Her new book provides step-by-step solutions to the serious issues facing working women today: Though exceptionally qualified, willing, and ready for the challenge, women are not yet in positions of influence and leadership in many of the industries they represent. We all got copies of her book and recommend you pick one up too!

Momentum Marketing is a proud supporter of the Sophia Institute, and we believe in their work and are so grateful for these incredible events they hold. If you’re not familiar with the Sophia Institute, check out their website and sign up for an event today – it’s a life changing experience for us every time and we HIGHLY recommend!
