Momentum Marketing Attends Lowcountry Local First's Lowcountry Field Feast

Wonder Works' Christine Osborne with Momentum Founder Pam Hartley at the Lowcountry Field Feast

On Sunday, Momentum attended the amazing Lowcountry Field Feast to benefit Lowcountry Local First. Held at Dirthugger Farm on James Island, SC, the event featured local food cooked up by Charleston chef Mike Lata of FIG restaurant, as well as music, drinks and more from local performers and vendors.

As part of Lowcountry Local First, we’re always excited to help the organization promote its mission to support local businesses and farmers. LLF advocates its local food mission by putting more than 40 apprentices through its Growing New Farmers Program; held Grower’s Groups with more than 30 farmer and apprentice participants; connected multiple restaurants to area farmers; supported and promoted over 14 Community Supported Agriculture programs; and been a resource for eating locally.

Next year, LLF is starting the next phase of its program with its Farm Incubator and Training Center in collaboration with Clemson University.  The incubator will provide lost cost land, the shared use of equipment and expertise to help establish new farmers in the area. Way to go, LLF!

Supporting local food and farmers is just the start of what LLF is advocating. Momentum is also proud to be part of the Buy Local movement, and we’re gearing up for Buy Local Month in Charleston Nov. 1-Dec. 1! Stay tuned!

Check out some of our other photos from the event – it was truly a gorgeous night!

Mixing FIG drinks at the Feast

We were completely in love with the beautiful fall spread on all the tables!

As the sun set, we dined underneath gorgeous string lights. Such a fantastic time! Thank you again, LLF!
