You’ve got 30 seconds!

When someone asks you, “So,what do you do?”, how do you respond?  Think about it.  Do you just ‘describe’ your position?  Or worse yet, do you say, “I’m a yoga teacher at XYZ Yoga”? 

When you’re asked this question, you’ve got about 30-seconds to inspire, entice and ultimately “draw someone in” to find out more about your business.  We refer to it as your “30 second intro”.  In order to grow your business more rapidly, it’s imperative you take the time to create a compelling response to what could be the most frequently asked question in existence!

This is your greatest opportunity to sell yourself, your company and your services to literally everyone you come in contact with.  Here are a few basics for consideration:

– Express your enthusiasm about what you do and how much you enjoy it

– Position your company from the perspective of how it meets the customer’s needs and exceeds their expectations

– Be sure to include a phrase at the end that gives you the opportunity to hand out your business card and ask them to use your service or refer someone

– Memorize it!  Once you know this “30 second intro” by heart, you will be able to deliver it with ease and modify it to fit any environment you’re in at the moment.
