The Coastal Cupboard’s Knife Sharpening Event Raises Money For The Charleston Basket Brigade

We’re so thankful for the team at The Coastal Cupboard, which held its Semi-Annual Charity Knife Sharpening Event on October 13–15, 2017. The event benefits the Charleston Basket Brigade, our nonprofit organization celebrating its 10th Anniversary. They raised $3,052 toward our Charleston Basket Brigade goal of $105,000 to feed 3,500 Charleston Tri-County families (approximately 21,000 people) again this year for Thanksgiving.

The event, hosted by The Coastal Cupboard in Mount Pleasant, featured knife sharpening, interactive stations with knife skills demonstrations, delicious samples, cutlery specials, and sales on the leading cutlery brands in the industry.

Owner of The Coastal Cupboard, Brad Pitner, said, “This has become a fun, rewarding tradition for us, which enables us to team up with our customers to help local families in need. We thank them, as always, for coming out and supporting the Charleston Basket Brigade.”

Co-founder of the Charleston Basket Brigade and Momentum’s Agency Principal and Founder, Pam Hartley said, “Thanks to our partners at The Coastal Cupboard for their generosity and support. Because of the efforts of their staff and customers, we’re off to a great start this year toward our goal of feeding 3,500 families in the Tri-County region.”

Thank you again to the team at The Coastal Cupboard and all of their wonderful customers!
