Checkin’ Out a New Local Venue: Sweetgrass Event Center

We love to always have the perfect spot in mind for any event our clients want to host. So today, we met with the team of Sweetgrass Event Center to take a tour of the newly renovated venue. What was once a church is now a highly luxurious space equipped with multiple party areas—the grand Sweetgrass Hall, the Gazebo Grounds, and the Gullah Room. The rental includes the use of the building and gardens (depending upon your rental agreement), a bridal suite, handicap accessibility, the option to tent the entire patio, and 75 on-site parking spaces. We were impressed by the blank open space ready to set the scene for anything from a Roaring Twenties fête to an intimate garden party. The venue’s rules are flexible, allowing event hosts to bring in their own catering from a professional company and choose whatever reputable vendors they’d like to help make the day extra special (although the team at Sweetgrass is happy to help with suggestions of trusted companies).

We were excited to see the transformation of the space—with updated finishes and top-of-the-line technology—and envision many different events in the heart of the Lowcountry for our amazing local clients.
