Pam Hartley is a creative visionary and founder of Momentum Marketing.
She has been in the marketing industry for nearly 30 years, with extensive expertise in database marketing, public relations, multi-media creative production, media negotiations, branding, web development, and digital marketing. Her company, Momentum Marketing, has helped build brands of privately owned corporations for more than 15 years in more than 13 states across the US. Pam also heads up our legacy film division, bringing a diverse team of award-winning creatives together to tell the stories of lives well lived.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Purdue University and is a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She has 21 local, regional and national advertising awards to her credit.
In 2008 she co-founded The Charleston Basket Brigade, a local non-profit that feeds more than 20,000 local Charleston tri-county residents in need each year on Thanksgiving. With a passion for outreach and contribution, Pam has also served as the Chairperson of the Global Tony Robbins Graduate Community, as the Professional Development Steering Committee Chair for the East Cooper Entrepreneurial Women non-profit organization and currently serves a mentor in College of Charleston’s MBA program. Her company lends its services to many worthwhile local and regional charitable organizations each year.
A true innovator at heart, Alex is passionate about applying the latest technology trends to the development of new business for our clients. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from Elon University and later a Master of Arts degree in Interactive Media also from Elon University. Alex leads the digital marketing department at Momentum, managing campaigns for all of our clients. He has a master’s degree from Elon University in interactive media, and in addition to a digital marketing background, he has experience in national marketing, broadcast television, and print newspaper. On a day off, you can find Alex at the beach or immersed in the downtown food-and-beverage scene with his wife, Emily.
Maddy Spellerberg spent nearly 4 years working for a full-service agency producing some of Charleston’s largest events, including the Volvo Car Open and the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition. She is well-versed in public relations, media buying, event planning, and social media, but she loves to work on copywriting and project management, too.
Maddy is incredibly involved in our city’s community. She is a member of the Junior League of Charleston, SPOLETO Scene, and Charleston Young Professionals. She also serves as a Steering Committee Member for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce. Nationally, she’s a member of the American Marketing Association. Bonus? She’s a TV host for “The Q” Trivia, too.
On the weekends, you’ll find her swimming in the pool, reading, experiencing a digital detox, watching football, or playing with her adorable pups.
Justine spent the early years of her life vacationing in Charleston visiting family before officially calling the Lowcountry home in 2017. Originally from Buffalo, N.Y. she obtained her B.A. in English from Niagara University and her M.S. from Canisius College.
She brings a unique blend of digital media and leadership skills to the team with experience in social media, email, and content marketing. Outside of work, she’s heavily involved in the Charleston chapter of Creative Mornings where she serves as a social media manager and event volunteer.
In her free time, you can find her tackling a DIY project, spending time with her husband Patrick and dog Misia, or traveling back to Buffalo to get her fix of Tim Hortons coffee and snow.
Kathleen transplanted to Charleston from Newtown, CT in 2011 to attend the College of Charleston. Since graduating she dove head first into the world of digital marketing. She brings our team a wealth of knowledge in in SEM, SEO, programmatic display/video and developing digital strategies and executing campaigns across many different types of industries.
When she’s not nose-deep in analytics and data, Kathleen enjoys stand-up comedy, spending time with her dog, Moo, and trying out local breweries.
Jamie Markey is a graduate of Salisbury University in Maryland and made her way to the Charleston area in 2015 to enjoy the Lowcountry weather, Southern hospitality, and beautiful beaches. While attending Salisbury, Jamie was able to juggle swimming for her school’s swim team along with working hard for her Bachelor of Fine Art in Graphic Design. Bringing so much to the table with her 12-plus years of experience in advertising agencies, Jamie’s past career consists of print production and digital channels, including but not limited to emails, banner ads, landing pages, website design, and iPad apps. Adjusting swimmingly to the Charleston lifestyle, Jamie enjoys exploring nearby cities in South Carolina, participating in marathons around the country, and listening to live music with her husband.
John Lee serves our creative and digital departments as our Digital Content Producer, developing interesting and eye-catching visual elements for our clients’ websites, digital ads, and social media platforms. As a graphic designer, he has over seven years of experience, some of which were earned right here in the creative offices of Momentum Marketing. He’s also an experienced photographer and videographer. Even on the weekends, John Lee loves to work on projects for clients and edit photos and videos to perfection. When he’s not working, you can find him on his longboard—earbuds in and iPhone on Airplane Mode.
Melissa is a Lowcountry native, and she has over a decade of design experience. As Creative Director, she leads our art team with her extensive knowledge in brand development, stunning ad layouts and multi-media design in countless industries. Melissa has been Momentum’s design whiz for over 6 years and has created campaigns for clients across the nation, captivating the eyes of customers coast to coast through billboards, high-end magazine ads, industry collateral, websites, digital ads, trade show designs and event materials.
Her bright smile is not only attributed to her positive attitude; she was also a dental assistant while attending design school. Melissa received her degree in design from Trident Technical College and has been sharing her creativity through her work ever since!
On any given weekend, you can find her painting Lowcountry landscapes, off-shore fishing in the Keys, cooking gourmet meals, and enjoying time outside in her garden.
