LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air Grants $500 to Katie’s Krops

Every month, LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air gives $500 to a local non-profit organization through their LimRic Give Back Grant campaign. This month, the company presented a $500 check to Katie’s Krops, which empowers youth to start and maintain vegetable gardens of all sizes. Katie Stagliano, founder of Katie’s Krops, is a 17-year-old with a passion for fighting hunger. She described, “Growing vegetables is fun, and it’s so great to help people. If I can do it, anyone can. It doesn’t take a huge garden; just a pot on your front porch with one vegetable plant can make a difference. If people (I hope lots of kids, too) could grow even one vegetable plant and donate the harvest to a local soup kitchen, we could make a huge difference in the fight against hunger.” David Miles, owner of LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air was enthusiastic to donate on behalf of his company to Katie’s Krops. “It was a pleasure to meet Katie and learn about her passion for feeding the hungry through gardening all over the United States. We are delighted to help her business grow through the LimRic Give Back Grant,” he said.

Facebook fuels LimRic’s Give Back Grant. Through nominations and voting on the social media site, individuals can voice their opinions about which non-profit should receive each month’s grant. The charity with the most votes at the end of each voting period receives the $500 donation.
