Momentum Marketing is an award-winning, creative and energetic full-service marketing firm located in Charleston, SC searching for an experienced Creative Director to lead the agency’s creative team and conceptualize effective solutions for our clients and their marketing needs.

The ideal candidate is an innovative thinker driven by creativity and following the latest trends and technology in design, advertising and marketing. Qualified candidates should have senior level experience in both traditional and digital creative channels. We’re searching for a leader who can visualize, execute and manage creative concepts for print, social media, digital display, web design, outdoor and more.

This position will oversee the creative process, while mentoring and managing our creative team. The Creative Director will approve all work created by his or her staff and often work directly with account managers and clients to present that work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively drive creative vision around the agency and deliver high quality work and ideas for Momentum clients.
  • Implement and carry out best practices for running an efficient and proactive creative team.
  • Study Momentum’s clients and their businesses to better understand their creative needs.
  • Stay current on creative industry trends to better serve our clients and keep Momentum’s creative deliverables cutting edge.
  • Consistently come up with new ideas for branding, advertising campaigns and marketing messages.
  • Understand the ins and outs of design and how it integrates with advertising and marketing.
  • Make decisions on final copy, art, etc., in a timely manner to protect the creative timeline.
  • Meet and communicate regularly with other team leaders and clients.

Position Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years working in an agency or creative team environment.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a creative leadership and management role.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual skills.
  • Experience developing compelling creative campaigns for both large and small audiences across a variety of media channels.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and ability to work in both Mac and PC platforms.
  • Technical background, including knowledge of HTML and Flash, a plus.
  • Experience with video (After Effects and Premier) a plus.
  • Experience with print production (Adobe InDesign).
