SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING INTERN

Type: Part Time
20 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 am – 5:30 pm (M-F)

Momentum Marketing is a full-service marketing agency looking to grow our content team inside the digital department with an addition of a Social Media Marketing Intern. The Social Media Marketing Intern will help create consistent, meaningful content for client social media platforms including, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

 

Daily responsibilities include research in trending social media topics (ie: platform changes, tools, software, algorithms, etc.), organic social media planning – integral in strategizing, creating and optimizing creative social media content for campaigns, and more. Content creation may range for various industries, including (but not limited to) retail and ecommerce, automotive, medical, community events, home services, and more.

Ideal candidates will be able to tell powerful client stories through social media, paying close attention to specific brand tone and brand guidelines. Qualified candidates should have a passion for social media marketing and a desire to learn digital marketing and brand story-telling skills.

 

Responsibilities

  • Create content and maintain client social media brand for both organic posts and paid ads
  • Develop innovative strategies to increase and sustain engagement
  • Develop, maintain and sustain client audience profiles and content reach
  • Write, develop, and strategize content production
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share content daily (original text, images, video, stories)
  • Facilitate creative production with agency art team for social media graphics
  • Collaborate with other agency team members to learn and understand client goals, plans, and happenings to communicate via social media channels.
  • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; use this information to positively affect future campaigns.

 

Objectives

Throughout this internship, you will develop and improve your business and marketing skills in social media strategy, communication, business operations, decision-making, qualitative results, and more. Additionally, you will be paired with professional role models on the digital marketing team to help serve as potential mentors to provide guidance, feedback, and support as you expand your career in social media marketing.

 

Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook Business Manager, Instagram for Business, LinkedIn, Facebook Ads Manager, social media scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.).
  • Marketing major or equivalent preferred, but not required
  • You do not have to be a current college student, but we do ask that you are available for the duration of the internship August – December, 2020

  • You take pride in achieving great results for clients
