Pam Hartley Speaks at Exchange Club of Charleston Luncheon
Momentum Agency Principal, Pam Hartley shared her heartfelt gratitude at the luncheon today for the organization’s $3,000 grant to the Charleston Basket Brigade. Pam and her close friend Michelle Scarafile founded the Charleston Basket Brigade in 2008 with a mission to feed Charleston area families in need on Thanksgiving. The goal for 2016 is to raise $105,000 to feed 3,500 families, and this grant will feed 100 families!

Earlier this year, the Exchange Club of Charleston handed out 74 grants to local charities and organizations in the amount of $704,219.00. This astronomical amount of money is raised at The Coastal Carolina Fair each year, where Exchange Club members work and volunteer year-round to host this state-wide event.
115 Exchange Club members enjoyed a home-cooked southern meal at today’s luncheon followed by a 20 minute talk from Pam about the brigade’s efforts.
Pam said, “It meant so much to me to be asked to speak at the Exchange Club of Charleston luncheon today so I could personally thank the members of the club for their generous grant to the Char
leston Basket Brigade. This club does so much for so many people in our community. All walks of life will benefit from the 74 grants that were handed out this year. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to share with them how their donation to the Basket Brigade will serve 100 families in need this Thanksgiving.”
At each luncheon the Exchange Club hosts a cash raffle, and the winner of today’s raffle, Mark Heath, was gracious enough to donate his $180 winnings to the brigade to feed 6 families for Thanksgiving.
