The Sweetest Back To School Drive is at Cupcake Benefiting WINGS for kids

Cupcake DownSouth is hosting the sweetest Back to School drive in the Charleston area. From Monday, August 11^th through Friday, August 15^th, Cupcake in Mt. Pleasant and in downtown Charleston are accepting school supplies for WINGS for Kids. For every three school supplies donated, you will receive a token for a free cupcake.

 

WINGS is an educational organization that teaches kids how to behave well, make good decisions and build healthy relationships so they can be successful in life. The WINGS for Kids program combines social and emotional learning curriculum into a fresh and fun after school program. Kids get the life lessons they need to succeed and be happy while getting a safe place to call home after school.

 

Kristin Cobb, owner of Cupcake said, “Back to school is such a crucial time for children. It marks a fresh start, and the WINGS for Kids program offers so much emotional and social learning skills that some kids wouldn’t have the opportunity to have. BACK TO SCHOOL ITEMS NEEDED: pencils, construction paper, erasers, loose leaf filler paper, color pencils, glue sticks, single hole puncher, mini calculators, pencil sharpeners, scissors, index cards, Kleenex travel size tissue, and travel size hand sanitizer.
