Baker Motor Company Named Best Dealership To Work For In The US & Canada By Automotive News

Congratulations to Baker Motor Company of Charleston on being awarded both the No. 1 large dealership and No. 1 overall dealership in the 2015 Automotive News’ list of the 100 Best Dealerships To Work For. The Charleston dealership topped the list out of 100 best dealerships in the United States and Canada to take home the prestigious award for the best automotive dealership to work for in the nation.

Tommy Baker, owner and president of Baker Motor Company of Charleston, Inc., received the award at a private gala at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago, IL on October 14, 2015. This is the fourth year Automotive News has hosted this award and ranking, and Baker Motor Company has made the list the past three consecutive years.

“To be named the best automotive dealership to work for in the United States and Canada is just incredible,” Mr. Baker said.

The 100 dealerships were selected by Best Companies Group, which screened extensive surveys filled out by 62,000 employees of U.S. and Canadian stores that applied for the distinction. Baker Motor Company employees completed a detailed “Employee Engagement & Satisfaction” survey earlier this year that focused on 8 Core Focus Areas: Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training, Development and Resources, Pay and Benefits, and Overall Engagement.
