LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air Gives Back to the Community

Thank you, LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air, for supporting our community through the LimRic Give Back Grant program! This month, LimRic announced the November recipients of the Give Back Grant – Christmas Commandos and the Green Heart Project.

The Give Back Grant program, initiated in 2016, demonstrates “LimRic Pride” by donating a financial contribution to two nonprofit organizations every month.

Christmas Commandos is an organization that runs toy drives and fundraisers all season long to prepare for a “covert mission” that starts on Christmas Eve – large teams of “Commandos,” escorted by police, visit the home where a child or children have lost a parent within the last year to hang presents from trees in front of their home. The organization receives names of children from hospices, guidance counselors, churches and giving members of the community to ensure that every child receives a full Christmas and a more joyful day.

The Green Heart Project builds garden-based, experiential learning projects and school garden program to educate students, connect people and cultivate community through growing, eating and celebrating food. For example, the organization has “farm-to-school” programs where students work with a garden teacher and “Green Heart Buddy” to experience the agriculture process from beginning to end.
