Be Prepared For Cold Weather With LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air
The weather is getting mighty chilly here in Charleston this week with temperatures forecasted to drop to the 20s. Momentum client, LimRic Plumbing, Heating & Air reminds Charleston residents to prepare their home for colder temperatures.
LimRic shared these steps you should take to make sure your pipes aren’t at risk:
- Open kitchen sink and any vanity doors of any potential problem area.
- With pipes that are on outside walls that may be a freeze problem, leave a small trickle of both the hot and cold water running (the expense of leaving a trickle of water running, is far less than the potential expense of a busted water line).
- Temporarily seal off any crawl space vents that may be around the foundation.
- Keep the house warm, a minimum of 65 degrees Fahrenheit.
