Momentum Marketing Adds Movie Publicity, a Red Carpet Movie Premiere and a Community Service Award To Our Long List Of Successful Initiatives

Weeks ago, when our team was asked to play an integral role in getting exposure in Charleston, S.C. for the movie about child philanthropist Zach Bonner’s life, Momentum founder Pam Hartley jumped at the opportunity.
“We’ve never executed a Hollywood style red carpet movie premiere, so let’s do it,” she said enthusiastically to our team.

Little did we know that we’d be embarking on a full-on, full-tilt, full-throttle pro-bono publicity push and red carpet movie premiere for LITTLE RED WAGON, the inspirational story of how 8 year old Zach Bonner began his passion for serving and raising awareness for homeless kids in this country. We also had no idea of how this assignment would inspire us in so many ways.

For weeks our entire team, led by our talented public relations director Emily Trogdon, had been busy planning for Zach’s arrival and spreading the word for this movie. All last week Emily, along with an incredible volunteer Leiann Harvey, accompanied Zach and his mother Laurie throughout the Lowcountry as he served meals at Crisis Ministries, attended interviews with local media, spoke at local schools, met Mayor Reilly and more.

Our team was so inspired by Zach’s story that we got together with Coastal Community Foundation, Wonder Works, Baker Motor Company and others to create a kids’ award for Philanthropy Week of the Lowcountry November 12-18, 2012 called the Wonderific Community Service Award. Twenty-one finalists ages 18 and under will attend a special awards presentation on November 13, 2012, and one of them will be awarded the Wonderific Award.

Wow. One child sure created a stir in our office. It’s social proof that not only can one child make a difference in the lives of many, but he/she can inspire action and movement in an entire community. It’s the ripple effect in action.

All of us at Momentum Marketing are so grateful we had the opportunity to be a part of Zach’s mission. Moving forward, the Lowcountry now has an award that acknowledges children for their contributions. The world has LITTLE RED WAGON. And Momentum Marketing has an experience as a team we’ll never forget.
