Big Weekend Events for Momentum’s Charleston Clients
Congratulations to the Cooper River Bridge Run for 40 years of amazing success and to Swig & Swine for their ever-growing influence on Charleston’s barbecue scene. This past weekend was busy for the Momentum Marketing team as we supported these clients through several exciting events.
The Cooper River Bridge Run hosted the 40th Anniversary Bridge Run Luncheon on Friday, March 24th on the Carnival Ecstasy while it was in port. Guests enjoyed a six-course meal aboard the cruise ship and heard from Julian Smith, Director of the Cooper River Bridge Run, and James (Jim) Newsome, III, the President and CEO of the South Carolina Ports Authority.
The following evening, on Saturday, March 25th, we kicked off race week at the 40th Anniversary Bridge Run Gala held at the South Carolina Aquarium. Jim ‘N Nick’s catered the evening affair, and the bar was stocked thanks to sponsors Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Michelob Ultra. Plus, Quiana Parlor rocked the microphone!
On Sunday, our favorite barbecue eatery, Swig & Swine, celebrated their newest location in Summerville with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a Hogs for the Cause send-off. Pitmaster Anthony DiBernardo is heading to the Hogs for the Cause Barbecue Competition in New Orleans this weekend. We’re excited that Charleston will be so well represented at the national event.
