Skirt! Charleston and 82 Queen Team Up for Inspiring “I Am Because” Luncheon

This past February, Skirt! Charleston hosted an essay contest honoring mothers and daughters. The “I Am Because” theme asked each writer to consider what her mother did to shape the woman she is today. Skirt! Charleston asked, “Do you have a passion for serving others because your mom always volunteered in the community? Do you strive to be an amazing mother because you were raised by one too? Do you have incredible work ethic because you had a single mom who worked two jobs to support your family?”

Winners of the “I Am Because” essay contest, along with their moms, were invited to a luncheon yesterday at 82 Queen to share their stories and meet other women who are proud of the hard work and dedication of their mothers. We were thrilled that our client had the opportunity to serve these amazing Lowcountry women in their idyllic Southern setting.
